My Birthday in California

Me and my dad had the best time of our lives at Universal Studios Hollywood in California.

Every 10th birthday you get to go wherever you want to go in the united states of America ( Alaska and Hawaii don't count.) I decided to go to Universal Studios Hollywood I was going to the beach too.
The week before we left to California was when my dad told me in the car if I would want to leave next Thursday. I of course was in so much excitement I was thinking to fast and just said "YES!!!!"  As soon as we got home I told all my 8 siblings where I was going.

We left at about 3:00 and we were on our way. We arrived in California at about 8:00 and ate at panda express. We had a big dinner/desert. After that we looked for a hotel but all we saw were about 1,000 casino's. It's harder to get into where all the hotels are because they literally have no signs at all oust there It's really hard to get to the hotels. We drove for like another hour and finally found a hotel that we could actually see and get to.

We left the next morning to Universal and it only took us a 1/2 hour to get there. When we got in the Universal city walk it felt like you were in some tiny state with like 1,000,000 people in it.

The first ride I went on was called The Simpson's Ride. My dad felt sick after it because it's one of those virtual roller coasters where there's a big movie theater screens that shows you like a video but it throws water at you and other stuff like that.

I know I'm skipping to the end here but the last ride I went on I went on 3 times (and dad went with me) It's called The Jurassic Park Ride that has an 85 ft drop at the end. The funny thing about us falling is they take a picture of you while you fall, and when you look at the picture of my dad you'll see he's got his arms around the lap bar, his head in between his arms. When you look at me you see a boy who obviously wants his mommy to say "It's all right, It's all right" so it definitely looked like I was afraid of going down that far I would think it would take at least 5 seconds but it takes like 2.

After that we went to the beach and I layed eyes on the ocean for the very first time. Luckily we brought my football and I got to play catch with my dad. He sometimes threw kind of far into the waves and I would grab it and try to keep my balance. One GIANT wave came in and knocked me off my feet. Unfortunately it was right before we were going to leave. So my dad had to give me a towel and I'd have to sit on it.

We drove back that night and arrived at our house at about 6:00AM. I told everyone the stories and stuff and gave them their gifts. It sure seemed like one of the most successful trips of my life.

  1. What an awesome Birthday trip! Worth the wait, you know? I've never been to Universal Studios - I don't know if I could try that ride! My insides would be all inside out.

i was at the beach in California - we lived in CA for a year. The water was cold, and I never went swimming - see, this is what I'm missing!
