Three Months on a Diet

FINALLY, it feels like a three year anniversary around here. It's a day after Halloween and I have made it three months without fruit or grains and probably am never going to have grains again but still... I think I am the only diabetic kid to stay in range all day without going high or low. My numbers were in order from breakfast to bed time which was late.                         And the moment you've all been waiting for, MY NUMBERS YESTERDAY, 175, 127, 109, and 171. and I had no candy at all. And had a couple treats like peppermint patties (you can look on my mom's blog for the post called "Sugar Cravings") and muffins which my sister just whipped up from an Idea and believe it or not  it was SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I should tell you more but if you look at the next paragraph you'll understand why. I can't remember anything else it's been such a long time since I've written.
When this post is posted it will be November 26 2010 so I'm once again sorry for the delay but, I've had allot to do and couldn't get to it. So now I'm in my bed writing my post.
For 4 months now I haven't eaten any grain or fruit or any kind of non- goat milk or yogurt or kefir. Yesterday was as you know Thanksgiving!!!!!! I know, two holidays in one post. But believe it or not I was in range all day and had some key lime pie, and lots of different kinds of Pumpkin Pie that we made ourselves. We had a basketball coach over for Thanksgiving and me and Brandon loved playing sports with him. we played basketball and football and I won football (of course.) But Brandon's team in basketball (which include: Reagan, Byron( the coach) and Brandon against me my dad and Ryan) they won that game. Then we had this incredibly nice half of a family come over (two of them couldn't make it which I wasn't pleased with) and they have had mold too so we thought we would invite them over. We also had a friend from Colorado who lives here in Arizona now, come over. Some friends from our church came over and we had a blast with them. But if you were to ask me which person or persons I would choose as a best friend I would choose my friend Byron. Not that I don't like the people who come from our church, because they are great, great, great friends for our family.

During the month of November me and my dad FINALLY got to go on our last night at the hotel for my 10th birthday trip. The first time we went to look for a hotel in Oro Vally  it didn't work out as we would have planned it, we couldn't find a hotel we could breathe in, the check engine light came on and we had to take it to a repair shop to see what was wrong with it. And unfortunately had to drive back home. The shop we stopped at, (Precision) had a CR-V for sale with leather seats and was automatic. and my dad and I had just been talking about how God may be making us wait for something, like maybe we shouldn't have gone to Oro Vally or something like that. That's when we noticed the CR-V and it was quite a coincidence because we've been looking for a new car for my oldest sister Erin. And when we bought the car not to long ago me and my dad knew why god put that check engine light on, that's why he put the trip on hold. So the next day me my dad and Brandon went to a hotel and stayed the night. And we also figured out that God was holding it off because he wanted Brandon to go with us.

When I started this diet I knew that three months on a diet would be one of the hardest things of my life but little did I know that it could change your life forever as it did mine. It also led me to the Lord. And although it was a rough road I kept on praying at night, before I went to sleep, tried to do the best that I could when doing anything was impossible. Just the other night I was talking with my mom and my 2nd oldest sister Megan, about our journey and how far we've come, that's when I said something that just popped into my head, I said " when we lost our house and everything we owned and loved, we gained our health and our lives." So when your feeling let down or discouraged just remember that if you've lost anything valuable just remember something good may come to you like it did me. I thank you readers for reading my three slash four months on a diet on my blog. And thank God for bringing me everything I ever wanted, My Typical Life.
